You complete 5 placement matches to determine your starting tier. Casual matches earn +5–15 ELO per win, ranked matches +15–30, and tournament wins +40–100. The system includes anti-smurfing protection to keep competition fair.
CHALK is live in NJ and NYC with verified partner venues including Breaker Billiards and Clifton Billiards. More venues are joining regularly — pool halls partner with us for free featured placement in exchange for hosting CHALK tournaments.
CHALK supports 8-ball, 9-ball, 10-ball, straight pool, and one-pocket. You can set your preferred game type on your profile and filter matchmaking by game type.
Go to the Tournaments section in the app, browse open tournaments near you, and register directly. Members-only brackets have no entry fee. Open tournaments have a 5–10% platform fee.
